Firstly, what is your role at Keeler?

I am a diagnostic product specialist. We support the entire product line. Every piece of equipment we can diagnose and help repair, and/or teach sessions and classes, education on equipment, how to use it, how to clean it, how to sterilize it, and different things of that nature. Every piece of product. So, yeah, we're pretty involved in the equipment side of the business; customer service as well.

What do you love about working at Keeler?

I like learning new things about the equipment, the anatomy of the eye; it’s very interesting and something I’ve never done before.

How does a day at Keeler typically look for you?

So I come in in the morning, we check emails and voicemail messages. We have a dedicated phone line for product service. So if a customer has any questions or concerns about equipment that they need to send equipment up for evaluation, they can call directly to the product specialist team.

What is your favorite way to start the day?

I like to start the day down the street in the park with a cup of coffee, and then work my way into the office to get my day started.

Lastly, tell us a fun fact about yourself

Before I started working for Keeler, I was an automotive repair mechanic, also working on an engineering degree, but it’s more of a hobby now. So I build the race car engines and different modifications for cars, all kinds of fun stuff. I don’t like getting dirty, so that’s why I’m in the ophthalmic industry now – keeps me very clean.
